A new update has dropped! In this article, we're gonna talk about all the new content, so let's get started!

Customization

We usually drop four kits and four wheels with each update. This time, we're only bringing you two kits because, unfortunately, the people involved in creating the bodykits are busy at the moment. But don't worry, these two kits will still keep you busy! A bit of a Honda fever!

Honda Civic CX (EJ6) by Skinny:

Get ready for your next Kanjozoku meet! This kit is heavily inspired by C-West, with a few minor but still important changes. For instance, the front bumper retains the OEM grille, and the lip is flat like the one on the Charge Speed kit. It also features a J's Racing inspired hood and front fenders.

Honda S2000 (AP1) by CastleDandelion:

The S2000 aero set is ready to terrorize HPDEs all over SoCal! The S2K kit includes an ASM style front bumper, rear fenders, and rear bumper; Spoon style front fenders, Charge Speed style side skirts, a J's Racing-style wing, a Mugen inspired hood, and an RFY style diffuser, complete with a clean rear bumper cut.

Wheels

For this update, the staff picked wheels that were popular choices and needed to be remade by El Fish. The wheels from the community poll will be remade in the next update.

Brand new wheels for the update:

Enkei WRC Tarmac EVO:

These Enkeis were designed for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution lineup, inspired by similarly styled WRC wheels seen on the Group A Evos and the WRC 01, Step 2, 04, and 05 cars. So, if you want to dress up your Evo IX, these wheels are a solid pick. (Also, ignore the staff team if we run them in non-Evos, we cope by the fact of not having Advan TC2s as of now.)

OZ Superleggera III:

One of the top 3 best OZ wheels, period. As the name implies, the Superleggera III is the three-piece version of the Superleggera. It's a flashier version, although a bit heavier than the monoblock due to its multi-piece construction. So, while it might not stay true to the original Superleggera's intentions, it still looks fantastic, and more people should run these! You usually spot them on Euro cars, but some people have also fitted them to Japanese cars. They were even offered as a factory wheel option for the Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM AMG (C209).

Work Emotion CR KAI:

You've seen it in video games, magazine scans, and DVDs. Everyone and their grandma knows this wheel. It's the legendary Work Emotion CR KAI, an extremely popular choice for drift cars. Work might not be as well known for making lightweight wheels suitable for serious competitive track use as Rays, Weds, Yokohama or Enkei, but damn, do they know how to make good looking wheels! The CR KAI is proof of that.

The Work Emotion CR KAI comes with extra customization options, including red and blue wheel decals that you can choose from.

You can also recreate the concave look with these wheels.

Work VS KF:

The VS KF is a wheel that needs no introduction, The most iconic wheel from their VS line, you have seen it be worn by Mitsuru Haraguchi, by Naoki Nakamura, by Atsushi Kuroi, by Hert to name a few. For a while it unfortunately got discontinued until it was brought back as the "VS KF#". Super popular to wear them in drift cars and perfect for a "blinging run", you need to have these chromed out, painting these black is wrong.And before finishing, one fun fact: these wheels were also present in the Lotec Sirius.

The Work VS KF also features extra customization options, with multiple center caps to choose from.

Livery Editor

Even though we could only bring you two new kits, we made up for it by adding new decals to the game! Thanks to Blind, we've expanded the decal selection by introducing new categories and adding more decals to existing ones. Be sure to explore the Livery Editor and see what’s new!

To showcase how much this changes the game, one of our staff members took on a challenge: create a livery in just 7 minutes using the new decals and coming up with ideas on the spot.

As you can see, D13G0V5 had a vision for a slightly edited Falken livery. With a few finishing touches and the new decals, the process became much easier and less tedious. These additions open up more possibilities for creative liveries and make it easier to create complex designs using fewer shapes and decal slots.

Handling

The handling hasn't been retouched for this update but behind the scenes it is still being worked on! In the future once its more polished there will be video demonstrations of how it will work. Stay tuned!

Common questions

Will the mod feature add-on cars?

Not at the moment, but the idea hasn't been ruled out.

Will the mod feature add-on wheels?

As previously stated, yes. However, this will come at some point after we finish the vanilla wheels.

Will the mod add more race tracks?

Unfortunately, we don't carry the technology and tools yet.

What period is the mod set in?

2008.

Can I play this mod with other mods that enhance the AI difficulty?

Yes, but it is not ideal, as some things might break.

Can I play this mod with other customization mods?

Yes, but be careful, because many mods won't be compatible with PSI specifically those that involve replacing textures, models, or changes to the handling. Those will completely override many of PSI's changes.

Can I mix it with other handling mods?

No, it will break completely.

Can I play it in another language other than English?

No, some scripts will break.

Will it be uploaded to NFSMods.xyz and Nexus Mods?

Yes, once the mod feels "finished".

New month, new Hot5s. Welcome to this new edition of Hot5s!

This new edition was hard to choose. It was a very competitive month, with several great builds and pictures being posted. If it were the "Hot10s," it would be much easier and hurt less to leave out certain picks, but it is what it is.

ett.esw's Nissan Silvia Spec-R (S15)

This S15 works really well. The rose gold tone of the paint, combined with the red and green tribal graphics, is just perfect. I also like the mix of Volk GT-S wheels on the front and GT-7s on the rear, especially with the polished finish.

Boiled Steak's Audi R8 (Type 42)

This build really encapsulates well the theme of ProStreet. The blue tone and the dark gray paint used on the rear bumper and sideskirts work great together, and they match well with the HRE C20s.

Braga's Pontiac Solstice GXP

The orange tone is really good, and the way it plays with the Later Fire logo is super creative. Combined with those RacingHart CPF Tune-Rs, it really makes the build stand out.

GeoffJDM's Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6)

There are no words to describe this. It's pure insanity, and Geoff is a creative monster who has been present in every Hot5s edition. If there's one guy at the top who needs to be beaten, it's him. We even had to cut down his honorable mentions so the list wouldn't be filled with just his name. The red is so vibrant, and it works incredibly well with the decals that Makoto Yoshizawa uses in his Evo 9.

Sol's Nissan 350Z (Z33)

Clearly inspired by the Stream Z Ver. 2, which gives it some extra points. It takes advantage of the fact that our aero takes cues from the Top Secret Super G-Force kit, similar to what the real-life car runs. It's unfortunate that it wasn't until Undercover that JUN was present in the decal editor... but hey, you might be able to see it in ProStreet soon...
