After the mod was publicly posted, we received several questions regarding what it does, the changes that were made, the additions, and its overall focus. In here, we’re going to talk about every feature ProStreet International brings and what it means for the people involved with it.
What does PSI mean?
ProStreet International is a mod project that seeks to enhance vanilla Need for Speed: ProStreet with things such as new, period-correct customization and an overhauled handling model, with plans to explore and improve other areas of the game in the future.
It all started with a few of us playing ProStreet online with Radmin, as it was a game we all enjoyed. During one of our sessions, the idea came up "What if ProStreet got an enhancement?" Inspired by works such as underground2.net, we started working on it. The beginnings were a bit rocky, and one could say a bit messy, but we quickly managed to get ourselves on track and attract a lot of talented people who understood our vision. It slowly grew to become what it is today. If it wasn't for all the people who contributed along the way, the mod wouldn't have become a reality or reached the state it is in today.
Our name is a reference to Best Motoring/Hot Version International, as the team is made up of car enthusiasts from various backgrounds, countries, and specialties, which enriches the knowledge and perspective behind the mod and car culture representation. This mod is dedicated to car enthusiasts who seek an authentic ProStreet experience and want to take it to the next level.
Customization
The customization has several new additions to the existing cars in the game. The aim is to add content, so there will be no replacements made or considered. As of now, we focus on creating original designs, but we also welcome donations and offer credits to the authors of them. Real life body kits and parts are also welcome.
(DISCLAIMER: The staff reserves the right to determine whether or not your donation is approved for the mod.)

Wheels
Wheels are an important part of customization, they can completely change the look of a car, even if it keeps its stock body. We decided to take an unorthodox route, so, instead of focusing on adding "new" wheels, we chose to remodel the wheels from the vanilla game first. Factually, they don't look very good and don't do justice to their real-life counterparts.
Wheels that as of 28/09/2026 got a new remodel available to the public:
- 5zigen Hyper 5ZR
- 5zigen FN01R-C
- ADR Design GT-Sport
- American Racing Torq Thrust II
- BBS LM
- Enkei NT03+M
- HRE C20
- Racinghart CP-F Tune R
- Racinghart CR 2P
- TSW Rocket 5
- Rays Volk Racing TE37
- Rays Volk Racing CE28N
- Rays Volk Racing GT-P
- Rays Volk Racing GT-S
- Rays Volk Racing GT-7
- Weld Racing Legacy
- Weld Racing Alumastar
Upcoming wheels for the next update:
- Enkei WRC Tarmac EVO
- OZ Superleggera III
- Work Emotion CR KAI
- Work VS KF
Add-on wheels are being considered, and in fact, we already have an add-on wheel made and reserved. However, for now, our focus is on getting the remodeled vanilla wheels finished.
Some of our wheels offer a higher level of customization thanks to AutoSculpt. Here, we will show some examples:
BBS LM:
Rays Volk Racing CE28N:
Weld Racing Alumastar:
Work Emotion CR KAI:
Another note to comment, is that our wheels with autosculpt you can spec them in more accurate specs to their in real-life counterpart:
(The Work CR Kai is sneak peak of an upcoming wheel for the next update.)
The extra options we offer are a great addition that gives your build more personality and provides greater control over the look you want to achieve, as you can see.
Livery Editor
The next update will feature an update in the livery editor, adding new decals from the previous games, mainly from the likes of Modern Image and Art Factory Graphics. New sponsor decals are also being worked on to be added in a future update, adding several new shops across the globe.

Handling
The handling is one of the weaker aspects of the vanilla game, and for a game focused on race days, we had the mission of overhauling it to make it feel much more proper. Our goal is to make the cars feel like proper representations of what they are known for when driving them, prioritizing the feeling of the cars over raw data, since ProStreet doesn't have an advanced simulation system that allows us to implement some of that data.
Our test track was Autopolis, a Japanese track known for Super GT, Super Formula (formerly known as "Formula Nippon"), Super Taikyu, the at the time World Sportscar Championship, D1GP, and the All Japan Road Race Championship. The track broke ground in 1989 and opened to the public in 1990, with hopes of eventually hosting F1... which never happened after a series of questionable and sketchy events. It is known for its significant elevation changes, which can exceed 50 m (160 ft), as well as its thin air and low atmospheric pressure due to being around 800–820 meters (2,600–2,690 ft) above sea level. It also features a 902m (2,959 ft) long straight, followed by a heavy braking zone into the first corner, making it one of the key areas for overtaking. It is the most professional racing facility available in ProStreet, making it the perfect playground for testing.
Our member Bacura did a time attack around Sonoma Raceway (formerly known as "Infineon Raceway")
in an Acura NSX (NA2) that helps to showcase the handling:
Reshade
Our good friend Katriot worked on ReShade presets for PSI that can help improve your photography and showcase your builds even better. There are two versions: the Main Preset and Real Long Exposure. The "Main Preset" helps make the cars pop, while "Real Long Exposure" works especially well for rolling shots.
